I just read an article written by Gerrit Gas, MD. The paper focused on anxiety and anxiety disorders and spirituality. It captured my attention because he examined various studies that analyzed the relations between anxiety and spiritual/religious anxiety. He said most studies defined anxiety from a psychopathy mindset. Anxiety as a diagnosis’d mental illness, and anxiety that is “a breakdown of normal functioning”.

When Caroline Myss refers to the Shadow causing trouble in our lives—she adds, “If you don’t investigate”. It is not the “Shadow,” your unknown parts of your Self, that cause the trouble. It is your unwillingness to peek into the cave where you have banished them.

At some point, we've all been hurt by someone else. It could be a friend who let us down, a partner who was unfaithful, or a family member who said something hurtful. We often dwell on these experiences, replaying them in our minds and creating stories that shape our identity and affect our behavior, thoughts, and emotions.
